Kennington Oval
Depending on how quick on the draw you are – you might just have a chance to capture something very special or very obvious with this weeks location. I would suggest, if you can to be here between the friday 20th and Monday 24th (if it lasts that long).

Yes, we're off to the oval this week. Kennington Oval to be exact – but I'm happy to let you have some snaps inside of the oval should you be lucky enough to have some tickets ….

Kennington Oval is obviously famous for one thing and one thing only and that is Cricket. Or so you would think. In fact it's had it's part to play in football too – being the host, in 1870 to the first ever international football match organised by the FA a 1-1 draw, something that we don't want to repeat on the 20th.

Owned by the Duchy of Cornwall (it still is) and formerly a market garden the ground was leased to the Surrey County Cricket Club in 1845 and the rest, as they say, is history.

Kennington Oval – the street – runs all the way around and to be honest it's the ground that dominates – but at least you'll get a chance to snap some interesting angles – if you're on the outside, or some interesting people – if you're there at the right time, and some fantastic interior shots if you're a lucky …...

The observant amongst you will notice that part of the 'oval' is in fact Harleyford Street – but I think maybe we'll overlook that one ….

Enjoy!
